Night Club Web Based Advert/Infographic

Brief:

The task is to produce a 15/30-second online Web Based Advert or Infographic for an imaginary nightclub or music venue. I need to consider aspects like branding, logos, colour theory, design, style, and the intended audience to create a visually striking and unforgettable piece.

To fulfil this assignment, I need to utilize Adobe Animate and integrate animated components such as foregrounds, backgrounds, and some interactive features to enhance the engagement of the advertisement or infographic.

Initial idea:

My initial idea for the night club infographic was to incorporate vintage fonts, old-school color palettes, and retro-inspired graphics to give the infographic a nostalgic and classic vibe reminiscent of the disco era and retro nightclub aesthetics.

Final idea:

After careful consideration and exploration of various concepts for my nightclub infographic, I ultimately settled on the name “Groovy Nights” as my final idea. The name “Groovy Nights” immediately evokes a sense of nostalgia and brings back memories of the disco era, making it a perfect fit for the retro-inspired theme I wanted to capture.

During my extensive research, I discovered that the name “Groovy Nights” was already associated with many events, which further validated its appeal and recognition among the target audience. Despite its existing associations, I felt that “Groovy Nights” still held significant potential to be reimagined and tailored to create a unique and captivating experience for club-goers.

Target audience

My primary aim is to appeal to millennials and Gen X, specifically individuals aged between 27 and 60. Both these generations have a deep appreciation for retro aesthetics, including disco music, vintage fashion, and old-school nightlife vibes. They are also more likely to have experienced the disco era either first-hand or through cultural references, making “Groovy Nights” a relatable and enticing concept for them.

Logo:

My chrome logo effect designed for “Groovy Nights” in Adobe Photoshop serves as a visually striking and iconic element of the nightclub infographic. By combining bold typography with a meticulously crafted chrome effect, the logo captures the essence of the disco era and the retro-inspired theme, making it a standout feature that appeals to the target audience of millennials and Gen X.

The attention to detail, from the gradient overlay and bevel and emboss effects to the colour palette and final touches, showcases the level of work employed from me to create a visually stunning and engaging chrome logo effect that resonates with the nostalgic and classic vibe of “Groovy Nights.”

Nightclub scene:

In a nightclub bar setting with a vintage colour palette, the advertisement features the logo prominently displayed below the DJ booth under the spotlights. The logo stands out with a luminosity effect, creating the illusion of being illuminated. To enhance visual appeal, two screens are positioned on each side of the scene for interactive tap-on icons. Clicking on these icons reveals a box with relevant information, creating an engaging user experience.

The party emoji showcased on the DJ booth corresponds with a slogan that appears when clicked, tying the visual elements together seamlessly. This interactive feature adds a dynamic touch to the advertisement, inviting users to engage with the content. The strategic placement of the logo, spotlights, screens, and interactive icons creates a captivating scene that captures the attention of the audience in the vibrant nightclub atmosphere.

Given the restricted time available for the animation, I chose a straightforward storyboard to guarantee a clear and focused viewing experience for the audience.

Final Animation:

I used Adobe Animate to finalize the animation project, integrating three distinct action pop-ups that are smoothly linked with HTML to enable interactivity. These pop-ups boost user interaction by providing interactive elements directly within the animation.

Conclusion:

This aspect of the assignment allowed me to explore Adobe Animate’s features and experiment with interactive options using HTML. However, when attempting to upload my infographic to my WordPress blog, I encountered difficulties. I wasn’t sure which VPN to install or how to configure it to access the cPanel link. Despite installing a VPN extension on my browser and attempting to access the link, it still didn’t work. It took numerous attempts to troubleshoot, but I eventually realized that the issue was not on my end.
