UV unwrapping is a crucial initial step I undertook to progress with my next task in Blender. This is the process of flattening out the surface of a 3D model onto a 2D plane, like unwrapping the surface of a globe onto a flat map. In Blender, it involves creating a UV map, which represents how textures will be applied to the model. Once unwrapped, the UV map can be edited and painted on in texture painting software like Blender’s built-in texture painting tool or external programs like Substance Painter.
I opted to utilize the built-in tool within Blender because I find the program more enjoyable and intuitive to work with.
